&hearts I'm considering totally re-doing the rec lists saved on here, and moving most of them onto my delicious account (which can be found here for those interested) and doing proper recs on here - i.e. saying what and why I think the fics are brilliant. It's starting to get super complicated keeping them all on here.

&hearts I'm considering entering NaNoWriMo this year. Yes, I know I haven't finished editing last year's effort so you lot can read it, but I ave a couple of ideas for this year. I plan on doing several smaller novelettes to reach the 5ok target rather than one long novel. Hopefully I'll be posting last year's effort soon.

&hearts I started a new course on the OU this month, and I sent in my first essay yesterday. Children's Literature is a really interesting subject, I'm planning on buying a few extracurricular books about it :)

&hearts I'm going to be away from the keyboard for the second week of November as I will be off on holiday :D

As I haven't posted anything in a while, I thought I would give a status update for those interested. For NaNoWriMo 2008 I decided to write the first part of a two part Harry/Draco fic. I managed to complete the 50k word count and the story by the end of November. Unfortunately, I am still in the progress of editing the story so that I can send it off to a beta reader - incidentally, if anyone is up to the challenge drop a comment and I'll get back to you nearer the time. So far I've edited from the prologue to chapter 2. It has the working title of Jerusalem part 1, and hopefully it will be out by October/November time.

First and foremost I am a writer. I created the Rec Lists because I wanted a place where I could list all the wonderful fan fiction out there that has, in some way, appealed to me. It is not all I am, or was. I was first a writer, though I have not written much recently and I know that most of you will not know me as such and will not have read my work, such as it is. I hope to change that this year. As the above icon indicates I have signed up for this year's NaNoWriMo. I intend to use it as an opportunity to write a novel length fan fic of some sort. So you may be hearing from me in a writers guise, or you may not, we will have to wait and see.
